When you buy a good quality sweater, blouse or pair of pants, they always give you an extra button in case you lose one. I've NEVER used one of these.
What are you supposed to do with them? Label them? File them?
I have a jar of them in the laundry room. They're going into the trash can tonight.

I have always wondered the same thing: where are you supposed to keep these in order to remember where they are if you lose a button? I have taken to throwing them away, as well, and have finally gotten over the guilt. :)
Of course, then a shirt came back from the dry-cleaners with a broken button. I'm wishing I'd kept that extra button now. But you know what? Maybe the cleaners has a button they could use to fix it for me. Presto! Problem solved. :)
I always save them in a junk drawer and then throw them away later when I find it years later.
i think the correct grammar is "DOES anyone" :P
